What is TubeMate
TubeMate 3 is the third official version of one of the best apps when it comes to downloading YouTube videos onto your Android. Thanks to this app you can store all your favorite YouTube videos locally onto your device memory and watch them later on at your leisure without an Internet connection.
Using your app is as simple as accessing the video of your choice through the in-app browser. From there a quick tap on the arrow located at the bottom of your screen. Next step: select factors like resolution and video quality. Your options are: 1920x1080, 1280x720, 640x360, 176x144, etc. Plus you designate which file format you want for your videos: MP4, MP3, WEBM, OGG, etc.

Download Internet videos the easy way with TubeMate
There is no denying that videos have become one of the most prevalent ways of disseminating data and information. Sure, videos are mostly used for entertainment purposes like movies, TV shows, and Internet clips, but it's also a great way of spreading educational content and news. What makes it even better is that you can access these videos conveniently through the Internet. Websites like YouTube and Dailymotion allow users to stream videos without having to download them. However, what if you don't have Internet access and would like videos to be readily available to you anytime you need? That's what video downloaders are for and there's no better downloader out there than Tubemate.
The Download Process
Downloading with video downloaders has never been that complicated. The most common method of downloading is by getting the URL of the video you need and posting it to your video downloader. TubeMate makes the download process much simpler than that. Instead of having to use a third-party browser to get the URL of your video, you can just search for the video you want directly on the app.
TubeMate looks more like a web browser than a video downloader. There is an address bar at the top of the app where users can get or paste URLs similar to traditional web browsers. Users can browse the Internet with TubeMate just as they could if they were using mobile browsers such as Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome. Swiping right on the app will show you a list of bookmarked websites for easy access. That panel also has another tab with the user's browsing history which can quickly be deleted with a button at the bottom of the panel.
The big difference between TubeMate and these other browsers is that this app has a unique download button that automatically appears when it detects that a web page contains a video file. When users click on the download button, they will be prompted with video resolution options to choose from. Once they have chosen a resolution, the download will then begin shortly.
Users will be able to view their downloads by swiping left on the app. Doing so will show a panel with several tabs. One tab is for the user's download queue while another tab is for the user's playlist. The last two tabs are where users can view their music and video files saved in their device storage.
Limitations
However good an app may be, it will still inevitably come some limitations. In terms of video downloading, TubeMate's biggest issue is that some video resolutions require a separate app to successfully download. TubeMate supports a wide range of video resolutions, but it struggles a bit in the higher ones. Additionally, you need the same separate converter app to download MP3 files.
There are also times when the downloader does not detect the correct media to download or fails to detect all of them. This mostly happens in pages from websites that the app doesn't officially support, however.
